Markus is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is grounded in traditional tattooing, combined with visionary art influences and a continually evolving personal style.

He began his tattooing career in 2019 at Darkhorse Initiative in Australia, completing his apprenticeship in 2023 under the guidance of his mentor, Sean Henry (Spot). Through this experience, Markus developed a strong foundation across a wide range of styles, alongside an understanding and appreciation of tattoo history, craft, and industry practice.

Before tattooing, Markus spent years experimenting across creative fields, developing an approach shaped by curiosity and exploration. These influences are enriched by an ongoing interest in human consciousness, perception, and inner experience, subtly informing the symbolic and expressive qualities of his work. Since completing his apprenticeship, Markus has worked full-time as a tattoo artist while travelling internationally. His journey has taken him from Australia to Malta, where he worked alongside the team at Ink Addiction, and most recently to Amsterdam, where he is currently based.

Today, his work balances traditional tattoo foundations with influences drawn from travel, personal experience, visionary art, and an appreciation for bold tribal forms. His style remains in constant evolution..
